The Negated Zones are a group of provinces in the Outer Pentarchate, condemned and uninhabited since ZY 2861. The condemnation edict was a unanimous Pentarchate decision; public speculation on their reasoning, or the state of the Negated Zones, is banned in most jurisdictions.
The history of the Negated Zones is well-documented up to 2832, at which point immense censorship efforts have made an accurate account of its final thirty years nigh-impossible.
History
Scholarship
Almost all study of the Zones comes from scholars in Extralegal Space, though transmitting their findings to the Pentarchate remains immensely illegal, one of three offenses which justifies Pentarchate police intrusion into ES.
On at least four occasions, Ithica Iniversity has nearly been shut down due to faculty making efforts to study the Zones.
