The War of Castellain Succession was a dispute over the succession of the Duchy of Castelle. The war resulted in a personal union between Castelle and Comer. It also placed Comer in a position to challenge The Republic of Kaelmar as the preeminent state of Omnia.


Causes

The cause of the conflict can be traced to the Duchess Marianne Delamaer and her marriage to Marazdo Loxelain. While the marriage between a human and a Loxodon was considered unusual by most of Omnia, it was only taken as a threat by Galamaed. Rather than be surrounded by stronger states,
