The vast majority of The Harndael's inhabitatnts are hunter-gatherers. The people of Denkirn regard them as savages, cannibals, and worse.
The only settlement of any note to be found is Vargenstadt, which was settled by Denhein exiles banished from their clans. They subsist on fish and berries, the latter must be traded with the natives, as the cities inhabitants dare not take extended trips into the interior without armed guards.
