Night of the Firebirds

The Night of the Firebirds refers to the accidental sinking of the navies of The Republic of Kaelmar, Pieda, Ria Marel, and Trok, (collectively known as the Great Armada, by the navy of Comer.

On the night of the debacle, the Comerain navy arrived at Denkirn under cover of a moonless night. Seeing as they were not expected, their admiral, Ulyaerin Poivre, decided that whatever action they took to repel the invaders had to be done before they were spotted. This meant attacking immediately. The plan was to light a number of their ships on fire and send them at the enemy. Most of those chosen were built by the Martou Fishing Corporation, the lowest bidder in their creation.
