At the age of 28, Faldonne Loxelain succeeded his father [[Marazdo Loxelain]] to wear the [[Oaken Circlet]], thus becoming the King of [[Comer]], Duke of [[Castelle]], and Protector of the [[Northern Archipelago]].  Seeing as he had only recently become heir to these titles and had not been prepared to rule, many in the [[Hillfort]] were wary of the new king's competence.  He had already acquired a bastard at this point, a human child named [[Jeserai Loxelain]], as well as another on the way by the noblewoman [[Margot don Lyez]] (that child would eventually be born with the name [[Auriane Loxelain]].
