Den Hëlgen

Den Hëlgen is the largest port city in Denkirn. It serves as the de-facto capital, since it is typically the host of the Althingi and the most common destination of foreign emissaries. It was also the location of the Treaty of Den Hëlgen, which defined the political landscape of Denkirn for a generation.

Appearance

The appearance of the city has been permanently altered by the Night of the Firebirds. The ships that ran aground now crowd the shoreline around the city. Rather than let them turn into an eyesore, the empty hulls were turned into new buildings. According to the traveler and professor Anton Amberin, the city appears as an armada upon the land, ready to set sail if need be. It proves a sharp contrast to the rest of the city, which is made of cut stone and mortar.
