Velker Dariga

Velker Dariga was an Aspectist preacher . He made a name for himself by travelling between settlements in Denkirn. This caught the attention of the Comerain diplomat TBA, who thought his political beliefs might be politically useful in the Kingdom. In a letter to King Faldonne Loxelain, he said that Aspectism was quite similar to Monotheism. Because of this, converting the polytheists of Comer to this branch could be a first step towards converting them to Pelorism. The Hillfort replied that this should go ahead, and Dariga was sent on the next ship to Comer.

He did not receive a warm welcome. On his first day in the capital, he went to the nearest Naturalist Circle to preach the word of the All-Faced Lord. The worshipers went into a frenzy at his beliefs. The presiding druid jested that he should get one lash for each god he denied. The crowd took this literally and began taking turns giving him exactly 14 blows each. One such rascal proposed that since their statue to Morrigahn had had its face chipped off in an accident, the servant of the All-Faced Lord should be more than willing to donate his own face to the cause. In the time the crowd took to find a knife, local guards pulled Dariga to safety.

Dariga's presence was an outrage to druids throughout the Comerain Peninsula. Various circles petitioned the king to expel him as a heretic. Others took offence at the government paying his passage.

The only druid willing to engage with this pariah was the young upstart Fillaine. Rather than rely on the Pelorist government to interfere in the religious affairs of Polytheists, she challenged him to a debate on their faith. The event would become known as The Sinrelaev Dialogue, named after the town where it took place. The result was that Velker Dariga's name was tarnished in a format spread all over Omnia.

After being thoroughly humiliated, he returned home to Denkirk.
